1985: The First "All British Bash" was founded by the third BSCC president, Bob Hitchcock. With the help of Bill Fryrear. The first British Bash along with many others was held at Joe Creason Park. Bob and Bill helped fund and coordinate the BASH. The first Bash, in 1985, was a success with approx. 60-70 cars. The first official sponsor of the 1985 Bash was Wes Lillie. Wes was the owner of WIP Auto Parts on Popular Level Road. Also Glasscock Brokerage, the regional distributor for Valvolene Products donated many cases of motor oil. With a gathering of cars promoted with the hand created flier (see page 1  page 2 and 3  page 4) the 1985 All British Bash started it all.

1990: After several years at Joe Creason Park the British Bash was moved to the front lawn of King Fish on River Road. It remained there until it was moved to St. Joe's in 2002. During this time period, the British bash was also referred to as the Marques on the Green.

2003: The British BASH moves from King Fish on the river to the spacious green lawn lined with beautiful tall oaks at St. Joe's. Approximately 150 cars are displayed.

2005: The British BASH experienced it's largest show ever. With 222 fabulous, pristine and rare British cars in attendance. Preregistration was the highest in it's 21 year history with over 154 cars pre-registering breaking and more than doubling the old record of 66. For the first time in it's history the British BASH added a new Friday evening venue with entertainment for the whole family including live music, children's activities, food and beer garden. Sponsors new to the British BASH included Meijer, BB&T, Meguiar's, Bumper to Bumper and more. Total cars registered for the show smashed all previous records with 222 cars entered. In addition a record amount of money was raised by the British BASH for St. Joe's, more than doubling our previous donation. Click here to see pictures from the 2005 British BASH.
